Beginning his 2nd season with the Blue Demons, Coach Oliver Purnell looks to continue his quest towards making DePaul basketball a threat in the tough Big East conference. The 2011-2012 Blue Demons are led by power forward Cleveland Melvin who was crowned Big East Rookie of the Year last season. With a group of talented players around him, Melvin’s sophomore campaign is going to be something you’re not going to want to miss.
The talent of this young DePaul team will be tested often this season; seven of the team’s twenty-four regularly scheduled games will be against teams starting the year ranked in the Top 25. This fierce competition is going to make for some exciting Blue Demon basketball.
