Coming off it’s 3rd straight NIT Tournament bid, Coach Bill Carmody’s Wildcats have a great shot at making their first ever appearance in the NCAA “March Madness” Tournament. The Cats will return 4 of their 5 starters from last season’s team including their leading scorer John Shurna. The 6’9’’ senior power forward has been named a preseason All-American by Sporting News and has been placed on the players to watch list for this year’s John Wooden Award, an award previously received by the likes of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Tim Duncan.
